CapAnna 2014 Rosso Di Montalcino, $13.49-$25.99, 91 points, poured a bright ruby red with a broad clear wine ring and substantial legs.
Aromatic earthy red cherry with a hint of rose pedals were reticent, but very good.
Medium-bodied with mouthwatering acidity, fine firm tannins, and red fruit flavors accented with black tea, truffles, and a hint of citrus were defined and intense.
Finished long on the trailing palate, escalating tannin, and a 14% alcohol inspired spiciness.
Paired perfectly with our loaded pizza.
