Dievole 2014 Chianti Classic (DOCG), $16.14-$18.99, 88 points, poured a deep sienna purple/red with a garnet red penumbra, a bright clear meniscus, and light glass sheeting.
Profuse red fruits, black tea, and soft rose pedal perfume on the nose were good.
Medium-bodied red wine showed typically excellent acidity, a thin supportive plank of tannins, and generous red fruit flavors.
Finished fair with black tea, easy warm pepper spices, a spot on 13.5% alcohol, and though a dry red wine, sweet red fruit.
Paired perfectly with our spaghetti in an artichoke marinara sauce.
