Maricool 2018 Muscadet (France), $5.99, 86 points, was a medium yellow gold color.
Aromatic Mackintosh apple and lemon zest were excellent.
Near medium-bodied (off-dry) with fair acidity delivered weak flavors of orange zest, Necco wafer, and soft apple pie.
Finished okay on the failing palate, a touch of ginger, and a balanced 11.5%.
Did not pair satisfactorily with my Gulf of Maine steamed lobster in drawn butter, but was much better with my smoked red-pepper-hot oysters.
