Ridge Paso Robles 2017 Zinfandel, $28.89-$33.99, 92 points, poured core black grading to a near Shiraz purple/red (a bit more red) with a broad clear wine ring and clinging stained legs.
Aromatic dusty wild blackberries, sweet red raspberry, and lovely perfumed floral notes impressed.
Medium-plus body (dry) with good acidity and firm supportive tannins carried excellent flavors reflective of the aromas with a bit of plum and truffle.
Finished long on the fading palate, pomegranate, easy pepper spices, and an energizing 15.1% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with Ollie's supreme pizza.
Ridge, why it's a "go to" winery
