Mitolo Jester McLaren Vale 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, $18.69-$21.99, 89 points, began clear around the glass rim trending deep pomegranate and black berry red toward an opaque core.
A reticent sweet black grape and sea breeze aroma had just a hint of cedar.
Monster tannin and good acidity combined with the 14.5% alcohol to give an impactful experience.
Near full body with some astringency and sufficient black fruit managed a good overall flavor.
Finished with the trailing palate, tannin, spice notes, and some heat.
