Merriam Vineyards Russian River Danielle's Estate 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, $14.99, 93 points, began as a light burnished brass color.
Grapefruit, light green melon, lemon-meringue, and a light floral note magnified the lovely aroma.
Light bodied with good acidity and a gentle feminine texture which abandoned the typically coarse/ wooly characteristic of many Sauvignon Blanc wines (6% Semillon wine).
Hints of slate, toast, vanilla, green melon, and jasmine were rather unique and silky.
Finished long on the trailing palate with an incredibly well balanced 13.9% alcohol.
Paired beautifully with Key-Lime pie and Crème brûlée.
