Noster Inicial Priorat 2009 Red Wine, $15.99-$18.99, 90+ points, poured a bright pomegranate red with a thin transition to ruby/orange before the broad clear rim and leggy glass wall.
Earth, toasty black cherry, and cedar on the nose were very good.
Medium body carried firm, but not uncomfortable tannin, good acidity, and tangy flavors of red fruit, sweet tobacco, and paprika.
Finished well with red licorice, a touch of eucalyptus, and some warmth from the 14% alcohol.
