Two years ago I did a post on Jammy Zinfandels, but this morning's post is just a simple reminder of how I quicken my nose to smells I might find in wine; This smell is pear from a lovely pear jam made in Portugal. If you haven't tasted pear jam or if you haven't even seen it, I found mine at Homegoods.
An example of wine with the aroma of pear is Firesteed Oregon 2012 Pinot Gris.
