Mezzacorona Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2015 Rosé (Italy), $5.99-$7.99, 86 points, poured a dark peach color.
Shy floral strawberry aroma needed much swishing and swirling to resurrect.
Light-bodied with good acidity managed a rather neutral flavor profile with hints of watermelon and nearly ripe strawberry notes that actually worked well as a quaffing wine with our spicy mashed potatoes and beef goulash.
Finished unremarkably on the thin trailing palate and the 12% alcohol.
I bought this Rosé at the Market Basket of Londonderry.
