Samsara Santa Barbara County 2014 Syrah, $29.74-$34.99, 90 points, poured core black grading burgundy purple/red with a clear wine ring and leggy glass bowl.
Aromas of blackberry, black olive, and cedar were outstanding.
Full-bodied with good acidity and round supportive tannins managed flavors of red cherry, licorice, blackberry, and black olives.
Finished long on blackberry, warm spices, and a spot-on 14.2% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my roast beef, red-skinned mashed potatoes, and savory gravy.
