Codorniu Traditional Brut Cava, $8.99-$10.99, 86 points, looks and pours like traditional ginger-ale; the bubbles are all-at-once intense.
The aroma has some funk to it, with hints of citrus.
The light body carries good acidity with flavors that fall between Segura Viudas and Gramona Gran Cuvee, especially Spanish olive, but adds a finish with a metallic (minerality?) quality.
As the Brut implies this is a dry sparkling white wine.
The bottle-labeling is quite attractive and maybe exactly what a particular table-setting needs to accentuate the decor.
