Castello di Querceto 2006 IL Querciolaia IGT

Castello di Querceto 2006 Il Querciolaia Colle della Toscana Centrale IGT, $50.99-$59.99, 92 points, has a dense rosewood color, an earthy cedar aroma, nearly full bodied, good acidity, and muscular tannin.
Flavors of flowers, licorice, and plum are dominant, but there is layers of fruit and spice that become more apparent on the long finish that is accentuated by grape skin and hot spice.
The Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon is blended beautifully, very dry, and the flower flavor is nicely balanced within this wine's structure.
