Astoria Lounge D.O.C. Prosecco, $14.99, 90 points, is water clear with gold tints, and has an aroma of gentle citrus.
The body is light with good acidity and carries typical flavors of pear, white grape, and mild citrus.
The finish is the palate with a touch of ginger.
Now that the hot weather is gone, I was surprised at how much I still loved Prosecco, and with a touch of pineapple juice, enjoyed this as an aperitif.
