The aroma is rich red fruit with sweet cooking spice and a touch of heat (14.5% alcohol).
A medium body carries good acidity and structured tannin, with just a kangaroo-hair of tartness.
Flavors of red cherry, a hint of flowers, and damson plum, are fair, but the spice, which is excellent, soon kicks in and into the finish with some of that Aussie heat that makes this a NHWM standout wine.
