Sterling Vintner's Collection Central Coast 2009 Zinfandel, $10.99-$12.99, 86 points, has a bright and clear ruby color with a watery rim.
The aroma is just a bit floral with a light fragrance of sweet cooking spice.
The medium body has good acidity with mild tannin, and carries good flavors of blackberry, damson plum, and a touch of violet.
The finish is fair with a tart almost sour note and is weakly spiced.
