Clos DU Bois North Coast 2010 Zinfandel, $10,99-$12.99, 86 points, has a purple-red color (almost ruby red) with a watery rim.
I had to swirl quite a bit to tease-out the aroma of spice, cedar, and sweet black cherry.
The medium-plus body has fair acidity, mild tannin, and is very dry.
Flavors of blackberry, and plum are a bit thin, but okay. There's a green note here and the finish is a truncated spice event.
Clos DU Bois North Coast 2010 Zinfandel is not a bad wine, indeed it will do a yeoman's work at a football party, or even if you are one of those in the South who is still having barbecues.
