Cesca Vicent D.O.Ca. Priorat 2009 Red Wine

Cesca Vicent D.O.Ca. Priorat 2009 Red Wine, $15.30-$21.25, 91 points (40% Grenache, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 10% Syrah), appears with a very broad transparent rim and crystal-clear ruby to garnet in color.
Pours earthy with black cherry, sweet spices, and alcohol (15.5%) on the nose.
A robust, near full bodied red wine carrying good acidity and layered integrated tannin. This Priorat red wine is forcefully influenced by the alcohol which dominates the fruit, but helps to bring out the oak, coffee, and grape-skin notes.
The finish is long on heat and spice.
This is a big wine, and maybe too angular for some palates, but with a little breathing time I found this to be a great wine at a great price, and with no other hurdle besides the high alcohol, quite flavorful.
I bought this wine at the Londonderry Hannaford's Super Market.
