Neal Napa Valley 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

has an opaque core, tapering to black currant with violet flashes and is transparent at the rim.
Black currant aroma is dominant, but there are hints of vanilla java.
Smoothly, the medium-plus body balances good acidity and moderate tannin in this dry red wine.
A plethora of black fruits borderlines territory reserved for "fruit-bombs", but rather gracefully skirts near to elegance. The finish is warm (14.4% alcohol), mildly spicy, and with a hint of mint.
