Flowers Sonoma Coast 2013 Chardonnay, $44.99-$54.99, 91 points, was a straw yellow color with a blue/gray hue toward the glass shallows.
Profuse butterscotch, vanilla, cantaloupe, and toast aromas were a bit overwhelming for me.
Medium-plus bodied with fair-plus acidity carried a very complex Chardonnay of juggled flavors reflective of the aromas and apricots, the gestalt of which managed to pull-off a big Cali white wine with some elegance.
Finished long on escalating ginger and white pepper notes.
The 13.5% alcohol was innocuous and well integrated.
