Raeburn Russian River Valley 2014 Chardonnay, $15.99-$18.99, 89 points, poured a burnished gold color.
The good, but prosaic aromas of vanilla, caramel, soft floral notes, and tropical fruit screams California Chardonnay; I say that, without meaning to be derogatory, cause this is a perfect archetypical Cali Chardonnay (something many are proud of).
Medium-plus bodied, typically fair acidity, expressly fresh ripe fruit flavors with largely aroma-driven notes excelled at being a Cali Chardonnay.
Finished long on fresh tropical fruit, an almost spritz-like pear, a hint of ginger, and a well integrated 14% alcohol.
