Cupcake Central Coast 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

Cupcake Central Coast 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, $7.99-$12.99, 85 points, was a deep shinny sienna color with a clear wine ring and moderately leggy glass bowl.
Shy aromas of red raspberry, red cherry, and cedar were just okay.
Medium-bodied with fair acidity and a soft underlayment of tannin managed a dominant syrupy cherry flavor with hints of black currant, licorice, and plum.
Finished okay on the trailing palate, warm white pepper, an iron note, and an innocuous 13.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with our pepperoni pizza.
Make no mistake, this "Industrial" Cabernet works well enough for those that abhor spending anything over $10 for a bottle of wine, but I'd like to challenge those shoppers to consider spending one to eight dollars more and treat themselves to a far superior Cabernet; here's a link to my recommendations: California Cabernet Sauvignon, The Growing Divide!
