Domaine Séguinot-Bordet, Fourchaume 2015 Chablis Premier Cru, $31.99-$34.99, 93 points, poured a light glossy gold color.
Aromatic tangerine, perfumed white blossoms, and hints of pome fruit were excellent.
More a lighter-bodied Chardonnay with bright acidity that carried clean stony flavors with those mirroring the bouquet.
Finished long on the trailing palate, dominant ginger and white pepper, a hint of Marshmallow Peanut Candy, a touch of neutral Beachwood, and a spot-on 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my New England fried clams.
A beautiful Chardonnay alternative to the ubiquitous over-oaked, and the less common bland unoaked California Chardonnays.
