Yalumba Barossa Patchwork 2014 Shiraz,
$11.49-$17.99, 85 points, poured an opaque purple/red with a clear wine ring and a moderately leggy glass wall.
Floral aromas were disappointingly accented with stemmy ones.
Full-bodied with good acidity and a supportive underlayment of tannin carried unbalanced flavors of plum, vanilla, licorice, and blackberries.
Saving the wine was a long pleasing finish of spice, mint, eucalyptus, plum, blackberry, and a modest 13.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with our burgers.
