Castel Giocondo (Marchesi de' Frescobaldi) 2007 Brunello di Montalcino (Revisited), $33.99-$59.99, 92 points, poured a deep ruby red with an orange penumbra, bleeding wine ring, and moderate glass draping.
Aromas of earthy roses, cooking herbs, and sweet black tea were pleasant.
Near full-bodied with good acidity and a firm underlayment of tannin reproduced flavors rightly reflective of the aromas with cherry cola.
Finished very long on developing pepper spices, black tea, a hint of plum, and an appropriate 14.5% alcohol.
