Planeta 2017 Chardonnay (Sicilia, Italy), $28.04-$34.99, 91 points, was a medium gold color clearing at the very edge of the glass.
Oak aromas accented with pome blossoms and lemon, nuanced with hints of peach were outstanding.
Flavors followed the aromas with peaks of lemon zest and caramel.
The body displayed a well balanced acidity with an angular, but clean texture making for a crisp yet generous mouth-feel.
Finished long on the intensifying palate energized by a robust 14% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my chicken salad.
