Bodegas Izadi Rioja Reserva 2017 Red Wine, $15.29-$19.99, 90 points, poured a deep ruby red with hanging stained-legs and a clear meniscus.
Aromas were dominated by the farm with sweet red fruit, cocoa, ripe oak phloem, and rose pedal were outstanding.
A medium-bodied bone-dry red wine with bright acidity, firm grainy tannins, and flavors reflective of the aromas with intense red pepper which made for a tight almost rustic tipple.
Finished long on a pepper spiced infused 14.5% alcohol and a hint of eucalyptus.
Paired okay with our hamburger pizza.
