Zenato 2018 Valpolicella Superiore, $14.39-$17.99, 90 points, poured a Black Red color hex code is #3D2022, a broad clear wine ring, and copious stained legs.
Smells of white raisins, milk chocolate, ripe mulberry, petrichor, and black tea were excellent.
A near full-bodied dry red wine with good acidity, fine grainy tannins, flavors of mint and flavors reflective of the nose was quite tasty.
Finished long on mint, hot pepper, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with steak tips.
If you like a lean spicy red wine, this has an excellent QPR.
