Elk Cove Five Mountain Willamette Valley 2012 Pinot Noir, $31.99-$39.99, 92 points, appeared a red grape color trending deep ruby with a broad clear rim.
Smells of toasty black cherry and chocolate were quite pleasant.
The medium-plus body carried good acidity with mild youthful, but intensifying tannin.
Blackberry, mulberry, and pomegranate fruit were luscious.
Finished long with hints of eucalyptus, escalating spice, and a well integrated 13.5% alcohol.
