Sanford Santa Rita Hills 2010 Pinot Noir, $23.84-$43.99, 89 points, poured a deeper red than most Pinot Noir wines I've reviewed, but still showed considerable draping with a broad clear rim.
Smells of earth, a subtle floral note, and black grape were just okay for me.
Medium-plus body with fair acidity and mellow tannins complimented the smooth easy-drinking texture.
Flavors of cola, black cherry, and grape were good.
Finished on the trailing palate with warmth from the 14.5% alcohol and gentle, but noticeable spice.
