White Clover Vineyards Marlborough 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, $11.49, 86 points (bought at the Fresh Market in Bedford), appeared a light gold/brass color.
The aroma was mostly pineapple, grapefruit, and tropical fruit.
A light crisp body carried intense Gooseberry flavor notes, which trailed deep into the finish with a hint of ginger spice and orange peel.
Good acidity and 13.5% alcohol gave a fair climax and pair-ability to this white wine; I had mine with a baked-stuffed Max and Cheese-Maine lobster!
