E-2 Spanish Non-Vintage Red Wine, $15.99-$19.99, 90+ points, appeared as a rainbow of reds with maroon being dominant, and trending slightly orange near the broad clear rim and leggy glass wall.
Aromatic red cherry with plum notes and a hint of peach (unusual for a red wine) were quite good.
This full-bodied red wine managed good acidity and smooth easy tannin while complimenting a flavor profile which was highlighted by apple-cider notes (unusual for a red wine), red cherry, black currant, with hints of pomegranate and lingonberry.
Finished fair on an escalating tannin, a well integrated 14.5% alcohol, mint, a moderately spicy component, and the trailing palate.
Varietals were Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell, and Cariñena sourced from all over Spain.
