Kenneth Volk Santa Barbara 2008 Chardonnay, $17.99-$22.99, 87 points,
was a glossy gold color.
Smells of butter, oak, and a slightly sour cantaloupe were just okay for me.
Medium-bodied with fair acidity, early flavors of sweet apples and late palate aroma-reflective notes were good, but the highlight was the fair finish of black pepper, the trailing palate, and a well integrated 14.2% alcohol.
