Marcel Lapierre Morgon 2014 Beaujolais,
$22,09-$25.99, 91 points, poured a cranberry red with flashes of maroon, a leggy glass wall, and a moderately wide clear wine ring.
Fragrant aromas of sea breezes, chocolate, and lingonberry jam were quite good.
Light-plus body with mouth-watering acidity, mildly supportive tannin, loads of red fruit with a balancing granite minerality reflected a straight-forward, yet delicious tipple.
Finished long on escalating spice notes and a well integrated 12% alcohol.
