Two Hands Ares 2006 Shiraz

Two Hands Ares 2006 Shiraz, $149.99-$229.99, 94 points,  poured black throughout, except near the heavily draped glass bowl and clear wine ring.
Smells of dusty blackberries and cocoa-powder with whiffs of alcohol (16%) black currant, fresh laundered-linen, and a floral component were rather deep, complex, and unusual.
Full-bodied with firm tannin, good acidity, and flavors reflective of the nose, as well licorice and dark fruit notes were outstanding.
Finished hot and strong on spice, black pepper, and alcohol.
This was a special occasion wine shared with family members, of which this was the favorite of at lest three of us.
