Morgan Double L Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands 2013 Riesling, $19.54-$22.99, 86 points, appeared a burnished gold color trending nearly water clear at the glass bowl.
Aromatic ripe apple notes with a hint of pear were just okay for me.
Near medium-bodied with good acidity, a touch of sweetness, and flavors reflective of the aromas which trailed into the rather boring finish made for a rather provincial white table wine.
The 11% alcohol was nearly unnoticeable, while the Asian cuisine paired well.

Any petroleum?
ReplyDeleteVG: None! I was bored with this Riesling, and it wasn't cheap! I was also surprised cause I like Morgan wines, but I can only call them as I see (taste) them.
