Casal Garcia NV Vinho Verde, $4.99-$7.99, 86 points, was a light brass color with just a slight fizz.
Smells of honeydew melon were good.
Light bodied white wine had good acidity, was slightly sweet, showed a touch of fizz throughout the palate, and carried straight forward flavors of apple and grapefruit.
No complexity here, but as a refreshing tipple at a great price, who will be able to resist?
Finished mostly on the tart grapefruit and an innocuous 10% alcohol.
Paired remarkable well with a Pu-Pu platter.
