Brancaia Tre Rosso Toscana IGT 2007 Red Wine, $17.99-$20.99, 90 points, poured a crushed black currant purple/red with a transition to orange red before the clear wine ring.
The aroma cache was loaded with coffee, plums, cherries, black currant, and blackberries.
Near full-bodied, fair-plus acidity, sweet lush tannin, and flavors reflective of the aromas with a chocolate accent.
Finished smoothly on a balanced 13.5% alcohol, tart pomegranate, easy spice notes, the trailing palate, and savory notes.
Varietals were Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Paired perfectly with my chicken parmesan with pasta in a marinara sauce.
