Robert Mondavi Napa Valley 2013 Chardonnay, $16.99-$21.99, 89 points, was a lovey light brass color trending clear at the glass bowl.
Subtle aromas of orange peel, pome blossoms, and melon were good.
The body was lighter and more acidic than most of the big Cali Chardonnays I've tasted as of late, with a less intense oak influence, and more a delicate flavor profile. Flavors were reflective of the aromas with hints of lemon and black pepper on the late palate.
Finished fair on the trailing palate and a potent 14.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my 'fisherman's plate' from Ollie's.
