Baracchi O'Lillo 2013 IGT Toscana, $11.99-$19.99, 90 points, was a dark maroon color with a clear wine ring at the glass edge.
Aromatic raspberry, blueberry, rose, and sweet dried herbs were quite good.
Medium-plus body with good acidity and an underlayment of tannin carried tart, spicy flavors reflective of the aromas.
Finished long on an escalating tannin, spice, and a warm 14% alcohol.
If a lush, smooth, and cerebral Cabernet Sauvignon is a wise old man's red wine paired with a steak, then this is a crisp, tangy, and spicy EDM youthful dry red wine paired with enchiladas, fajitas and quesadillas (Oh, "Electronic Dance Music"). ;)
Varietals were each 25% Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
