Terra D'oro NV Amador County Zinfandel Port (USA), $15.29-$25.99, 89 points, was core black grading ruby-cranberry-and finally orange red with a thin clear wine ring and leggy glass bowl.
Aromatic spicy potpourri with black licorice was excellent.
Full-bodied with bright acidity and a comfortable supportive underlayment of tannins managed rich flavors of raisins, plums, and black licorice, with an inspirited spine of spicy and slightly sweet blackberry brandy (19% alcohol).
Finished long on the trailing palate.
Was wonderful as a sipper and with my pecan pie.
