Zeitgeist Napa Valley 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, $29.49-$57.99, 92 points, was a true wine-red on the red color chart, and terminated with a very broad clear wine ring and glass wall of some sheeting.
Aromatic zephyrs of earth, cedar, hints of vanilla, and a whiff of violets were quite good.
Near full-bodied with a zing of acidity and appropriately supportive tannins managed a complex array of fruit flavors, cola notes, and black tea.
Zooming to the finish of warm spices, a tart pomegranate flavor, and a reasonable 14.2% alcohol was a delight.
Paired great with our New York sirloin.

Y'know, I don't see 'Burgundy' on that colour chart!
ReplyDeleteVG: Was this chart helpful, despite its lacking Burgundy red?
