Bear Flag Sonoma County 2015 Zinfandel, $20.97-$29.98, 91 points, poured an opaque purple/red grading to a deep Burgundy color toward the broad clear wine ring and heavily legs ladened bowl.
Aromatic profuse wild berry and licorice nose was jammy but nuanced with a floral vibe made for a delightful bouquet.
Full-bodied with good acidity and round firm tannins rightly supported an archetypical Sonoma Zinfandel in all its fruity and high octane (15.3% alcohol) glory.
Flavors of cherry cola, truffle, and a hint of roses, red and black wild fruits were luscious and straight-forward delicious all the way to the long easy-spiced finish.
Paired perfectly with my chili-dogs.
