Silverado Vineyards Carneros 2012 Chardonnay, $24.99-$28.99, 90 points, poured a lovely light golden color trending slightly gray toward the glass bowl.
Subtle apple-nut crisp aroma was light and fragrant.
Medium-bodied with fair acidity and flavors reminiscent of most Cali Chardonnay wines, but without the over-the-top oak (still a bit oaky for a Chablis lover); flavors of melon and pome fruit were clean and delicious.
Finished long on hints of watermelon rind, orange peel, and black pepper with a well integrated 14.2% alcohol.
