Duckhorn "Migration" Russian River 2013 Chardonnay

Duckhorn "Migration" Russian River 2013 Chardonnay, $25.49-$29.99, 91 points, poured a deep glossy gold color.
Aromas of melon, honeysuckle, and vanilla were pleasant for a Chardonnay.
Medium-plus body with good acidity and Cali-typical Chardonnay flavors of caramel and vanilla (oak notes) were beautifully balanced and accented by soft melon and spearmint, the whole of which would normally be in opposition to my long-standing Chardonnay proclivities.
Finished very long on the trailing palate, a well-integrated 14.1% alcohol, and hints of ginger.
Paired perfectly with my Maine lobster tails in melted butter, Crab Rangoon, and Key-lime pie.
