Adelsheim Willamette Valley 2018 Pinot Noir, $20.99-$24.99, 91 points, poured an opaque red currant lightening to a dark red raspberry with a broad clear wine ring and transparent speedy legs.
Aromas of cherry fruit, subtle rose perfume, a touch of mystery minerality, and just a hint of the barnyard where quite lovely.
A medium-bodied red wine with fair acidity and mellow tannins served-up good flavors reflective of the aromas which faded well into the finish nuanced by light-landing spices and a balanced 13.5% alcohol.
A very versatile red wine which will pair well with many a cuisine.
I was surprised by just how well it paired with my thin-crust supreme pizza.
