Aromas of mint, black cherry, pine-scented castile soap, and a hint of orange zest were outstanding.
A medium-bodied bone-dry red wine with good acidity, medium grainy tannins, with black tea and light cherry fruit flavors was excellent.
Finished long on the fading palate, soft spiciness, and a well-balanced, but sneak-up on you (an easy to drink food-friendly wine) potency.
Paired perfectly with my mushroom agnolotti in a beef tomato meat sauce.
