Famiglia Castellani 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva, $14.44-$18.99, 91 points, poured a deep ruby red with a broad clear wine ring and moderate clear legs.
Smells of warm baked cherry pie, black tea, cinnamon, and a floral vibe were excellent.
A medium-bodied dry red wine with good acidity, grainy building tannins, and righteously reflective flavors of the aromas managed to carry long into a never-ending finish marked by a well-balanced 13% alcohol, warm spices, and red cherry bitters.
Paired perfectly with my Chicago-styled supreme pizza.
