Castellare 2018 Chianti Classico (DOCG) Revisited, $18.69-$24.99, 90 points, was similar only in body and appearance to my first review, but in flavor the second go-round was superior; poured a lovely sunburst cranberry red trending to garnet red, a neckless of stained legs, and a very broad clear wine ring.
Aromas of dried red fruit, warm earth, pepper spices, and a floral vibe were very good.
A medium-bodied dry red wine with bright acidity and firm grainy tannins carried a lovely spicy red raspberry and black tea flavors.
Finished long on the fading palate, sweet cooking spices, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my Chicago-styled supreme pizza.
