Bodegas Volver Tarima (Jumilla Spain) 2012 Monastrell

Bodegas Volver Tarima (Spain) 2012 Monastrell, $10.34-$10.99, 87 points, poured an opaque crushed black currant purple/red with a broad clear rim.
Lush smells of cedar, flowers, and grape, were very good.
Medium-plus body carried fair acidity, moderate tannins, though delayed, gave late palate support.
Ripe plum, blackberry, and grape flavor notes were quite jam-like and textured.
Finished long on the trailing palate, tar, tart pomegranate, and some warmth from the 14.5% alcohol.
