Volker Eisele Napa Valley 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, $39.99-$49.99, 93 points, poured core-black trending a lovely crushed black currant purple/red toward the transparent rim.
Balance should be the sub-name of this wonderful Napa Cab.
Aromatic black fruit with cedar and violets were excellent.
Nearly full-bodied with good acidity and fine grain tannins contrasted nicely with its velvety texture.
Flavors mirrored the aromas with savory notes.
Finished long on the trailing palate, oak, accelerating spice, and gentle warmth from the 13.8% alcohol.
Varietals were 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot.
Paired perfectly with my marinated Rib-eyed roast.

Funny, was going to nip into the Napa Wine Co. on Tuesday and try Volker Eisele wines, but ran out of time.
